Beth Andrews first worked with H&W EHT in 2013 as Community Project Officer/Consultant for the Building Stones project before becoming a Geoheritage Consultant for the Wye Valley Partnership. She has also been Outreach Project Officer/Manager for the Voyages in Deep Time, Ice Age Ponds and Birmingham’s Erratic Boulders projects. Beth has undertaken a prolific amount of public engagement and outreach activities and attended many events either on an EHT stand e.g. Rock and Fossil Roadshows or given talks to various community groups. She fills any room or quarry with enthusiasm and sharing of her geological expertise. Beth also became a Trustee/Director of H&W EHT and has provided invaluable contributions at Board meetings.
When Beth got a new job recently, she had to stand down as a Trustee/Director and Mark Baggott had a perfect suggestion for a leaving gift: her very own Mammoth tooth. With a plan in mind, Mark contacted friends across the UK and quickly secured Beth a choice of 3 teeth. One from the USA, one from the UK (Suffolk) and one from Siberia. Beth selected the Ice Age Mammoth tooth from Suffolk and you can see how very pleased she is with it below. The other 2 teeth will be put to work in H&W EHT’s schools outreach activities and talks as part of the School Fossil Box project. With grateful thanks to @ukfossils_com and @Littlefossilcollector for the teeth.
