A fantastic day, with visits to our most recently designated LGS and a SSSI!
Our AGM was held at The Bromsgrove Golf Centre this year – a wonderful venue that we’d highly recommend! Following the AGM, some of us enjoyed our annual post-AGM field visit. This year, the visit included one of our most recently designated LGS’s (Local Geological Site), Calcot Hill erratic. This boulder features in our newly printed leaflet: Glacial Boulder Trail 5 – Three Hills Challenge: Calcot, Romsley and Frankley.
We also had a real treat – a pre-arranged visit to Sling Gravel Pits SSSI (on private land) showing a fantastic exposure of a Permian-Triassic unconformity.
